When the Founding Fathers put to paper the dreams and aspirations of our great nation, they did so not only for the benefit of the citizens of their day. They understood that our rights and liberties are gifts from God and, therefore, apply to all mankind for all time. Our Founders knew that by simply unleashing the burning desire for freedom ignited within each of us by our Creator, it's blaze would lift all of mankind to greatness. It was this revelation that gave them the courage to pen the Declaration of Independence.
With our freedom burning bright, America unleashed the ingenuity of man. For thousands of years we had tilled fields with primitive wooden tools; but with our freedoms in place, it took only 185 years for an American to make the first journey into space -- aboard a spacecraft called Mercury. Just as the world had watched the American Revolution bring freedom to our shores, they now watched as the fruits of our freedom launched a man into space. The fervor of reaching for the stars challenged all of us and drew us together with a single purpose. It is that single purpose that Mercury One intends to restore to America.
Mercury One will not "e;reinvent the wheel"e of charity, but rather harness the ingenuity and ambition of Americans to do what we were once well known for -- leadership. With this community of individuals, Mercury One will focus their energies on shining through the shroud of spiritual tyranny which is plaguing this once-great nation. Mercury One will launch America again into her orbit of greatness and inspire the world to follow.
