Job: Mercury One Head of Outreach

Why I work for M1: I have been an intern for Mercury Radio Arts since Nov. of 2010, and when Mercury One was created my boss Joe Kerry asked me to join the team. I couldn't think of anything else I would have wanted to be involved with! I chose to not finish college and dedicate my time to all things Mercury because this is a better education...and I don't have to pay a ton of money for it!

What I do for mercury one: My job includes working with and helping all the Mercury One groups around the country. If you are a Mercury One group or want to be one, email me at karen@mercuryonemission.org
I also am currently helping plan parts of the Restoring Love event

Why they think mercury one is important: In today's world, I believe the focus is all on the wrong things. Whether it's politics, money, entertainment, none of that is really going to matter in the end. What does matter is how we live our lives and what we do to help other and our service to God. Mercury One is important, because it is focusing on the real issues and problem in our nation and the acting with real solutions.

Random fact about me: I like to eat Sardines (crazy for my age right?). I want to move to Israel one day.

Favorite quote/bible verse:
"Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me....Then said I, Lord, how long? And he answered, Until the cities be wasted without inhabitant, and the houses without man, and the land be utterly desolate," Isaiah 6:8,11
"For Zion's sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem's sake I will not rest, until the righteousness thereof go forth as brightness, and the salvation thereof as a lamp that burneth" Isaiah 62:1

This week the Charity Auction for Restoring Love and Mercury One is starting!

From the first moment everyone heard about the storms in Dallas this week, Mercury One groups were ready to jump into action and help where needed.

A week of Action

In From the Field Post 05 March 2012

As you may have heard on the Glenn Beck radio program this morning, this week we are dedicating all charitable contributions to help the disaster relief programs taking place in tornado stricken states. The tornadoes have taken about 30 live and destroyed entire towns. Yet, in the midst of all of this destruction, charity has spread throughout these communities. Hope remains with the thousands of individuals who are giving their time and working hard to help their neighbors.

If you have not prepared relief supplies for your family and do not have an evacuation plan, we truly hope that these next few articles will help you get it done.

Every year there are natural disasters, unemployment is on the rise and let's face it, the economy isn't exactly on the path of prosperity at the moment. With so much uncertainty, Americans need to be prepared. Whether it's a few months without a paycheck, an accident, inflation, economic hardships or some other unforeseen problem, being prepared can turn a road block in your life into a bump in the road, or it could save your life.
