Mercury One’s Leadership Training Program offers participants a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to gain hands-on experience with original, historical documents and learn from program experts and guest lecturers. Every summer, we open our library of artifacts to emerging young leaders nationwide as they join us for two weeks of researching, exploring, and learning alongside fellow American history fans from around the country.

In 2018 Mercury One held its second annual Leadership Training Program in partnership with WallBuilders. Over the course of three sessions, dozens of participants from all over the country were able to explore the truth of America’s founding. Each two-week session involved historical research, lectures from individuals like David Barton, Tim Barton, and Glenn Beck, and brought participants into direct contact with historical artifacts. Participants explored the original intent of these historical writings through research of many first-source materials; they gained the necessary tools to find truth in our history, and to be leaders in their communities by helping to share these tools for truth-searching with others. This year’s participants were in for an additional treat, as many of them were able to assist Mercury One with its Rights & Responsibilities pop-up museum. It is said that the best way to learn something is to teach it, and these young men and women had an amazing opportunity to share their newfound knowledge with museum guests as they helped guide them through the exhibit. We are excited to see how these incredible individuals grow as leaders and truth-seekers in their classrooms, communities, and beyond.

Over the course of the program, participants not only gain a deeper understanding of American history, but also learn how to question boldly, think critically, and engage in meaningful discourse when confronted with differing opinions. Participants spend the morning in a classroom-like setting and the afternoon exploring our original artifacts collection as well as online resources. Topics of exploration include:

  • A Biblical Worldview
  • The Truth in History
  • America’s Godly Heritage
  • Early Education in America
  • American Exceptionalism
  • God and the Constitution
  • Reclaiming the Land
